I'm not using reiserfs anymore so I can't comment. But for testing it
should be enough to do a stat -c "%o" file_on_reiserfs.

Is it a bug ? No, but It could be a problem for embedded platform that
would use reiserfs&glibc, there is certainly more important problems
with glibc for embedded use :-) I don't remember if the buffer is freed
after closedir, if it is not and cached for reuse, it could also
potentially free a lot of memory in every process when on reiserfs.
