I have determined that the problem was caused by the version of 'Tab Mix
Plus' that was being used. Disabled it and everything worked fine.
(Newer versions of Tab Mix Plus work fine as well.) I had an older
version because the newest at the time supported beta 4 and not beta 3,
which was what I was running.
This bug can be closed.
