Public bug reported: Hi!
All default kernels don't work with my system. If I boot the LiveCD or kernels of the distribution, it will freeze at "Loading ACPI modules... ". I can only start with boot parameter "acpi=off" (all other options don't work). After recompiling the kernel (from linux-source-2.6.17-10.26) and disabling ACPI | video module, it works. It's a Samsung X60 T2300 Chane. http://www.samsungpc.com/products/x60/x60.htm Video card is Intel i915. dmesg and dmidecode follow. Thanks, Johannes ** Affects: linux-source-2.6.17 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- ACPI works only if the video module is disabled https://launchpad.net/bugs/64308 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
