I *have* removed "quiet" from the command line. ** Summary changed:
- No console stdout when booting the LiveCD with "single" + No console stdout when booting the LiveCD with "debug single" ** Description changed: I just booted my iBook with the Edgy Beta live CD, with "live-nosplash debug single", since usplash doesn't work there (#64324). Unfortunately, while I did get normal-looking kernel output, there is no visible stdout from any user processes whatsoever. Wherever stdout is directed to, it's not the boot screen. I verified that the same thing happens for i386 when I manually replace - the "splash" option with "single", so this is not a PPC-specific + the "splash" option with "debug single", so this is not a PPC-specific problem. ** Description changed: I just booted my iBook with the Edgy Beta live CD, with "live-nosplash debug single", since usplash doesn't work there (#64324).
