Well, as the title says, the bug reported is NOT about usplash, but about an ACPI oops, which may or may not have caused the splash problem. Ths splash issue was reported to help the person solving the bug track the possible causes more easily.
Please always re-read the original reports before jumping to conclusions when triaging bugs!
