In previous versions of XEmacs the M-p key was bound to 'Previous
Matching Current Input' which would search backwards through the command
history to find a command that started with the already typed
characters.
The default keybindings have changed, and now M-p is bound to 'Previous
Input'.
To get back the old functionality use the C-up key binding.
