Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gdebi

Using Gutsy, Gdebi-Kde can't install any package.

I didn't attach the log as it is quite small!
This is the little, annoying error:

/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/apt/__init__.py:18: FutureWarning: apt API not
stable yet
  warnings.warn("apt API not stable yet", FutureWarning)
kdecore (KProcess): WARNING: setPty()
kdecore (KProcess): WARNING: _attachPty() 36
FATAL -> Failed to fork

Stranger, on the livecd it works (in English), but once the system installed in
French on hard disk it crashed with above error.
The programs quits quietly without any error.

This is very, very important, it has to work in my opinion to make Ubuntu and
Kubuntu a great distro for newbies, but also to pros! ;)
Please make this work, certainly for Hardy!!!!!!!

** Affects: gdebi (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
