This bug is filed on ubiquity, which is the installer used on the
desktop CD, but from your statement that this worked in alpha 5 I infer
that you must be using the alternate or server install CD. (If you are
indeed using the desktop CD, then see bug 132611.)
This was an item in the release notes for Alpha 6:
The "do not use" method in the installer's partitioner cannot be
selected; this will be fixed in the next build. If you need this, run
chmod +x /lib/partman/choose_method/70dont_use/choices from a root shell
beforehand.
