This driver has been incorporated into the kernel since Feisty; I tested
it (on Gutsy) with luvcview (
http://mxhaard.free.fr/spca50x/Investigation/uvc/ ), and it seemed to
work pretty much out of the box. (Logitech Quickcam Orbit/Sphere MP).
