Now there is an issue with language support, because gnome-language-selector complains that openoffice.org-l10n-en-us missing: (I have Ubuntu Hardy with english language support) - start gnome-language-selector -> message that language support is not installed completely (openoffice.org-l10n-en-us missing) - choose "Install" -> error message "Could not apply changes, fix broken packages first" You can continue and install additional languages, but will always get the same messages when you start gnome-language-selector again.
PS: When I try $ sudo apt-get install openoffice.org-l10n-en-us I get the following response: Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that the package is simply not installable and a bug report against that package should be filed. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: language-support-en: Depends: language-support-translations-en but it is not going to be installed -- [Ubuntu] [hardy] openoffice.org-l10n-en-us is uninstallable https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/199569 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
