This is a bug report, I think. I removed the Evolution Mail application after installing Thunderbird. After that I could not run the gnome desktop until I reinstalled (at least some of) gnome [an independent issue].
In reinstalling gnome, I observed that gnome-desktop-manger would not install, depending on a "missing" package, gnome-keyring-manager. I had to add the gutsy repository to get a copy of the gnome-keyring-manager package that I could install. After installing the gutsy gnome-keyring- manager, the gnome desktop could be installed (and I'm using it now). To reproduce the problem, just uninstall Evolution, and if that bug has already been fixed uninstall the gnome desktop as well, then try to reinstall the gnome desktop. -- [hardy] gnome-keyring-manager not installable https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/202941 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
