Public bug reported:

Hi all.

I tried to use Truecrypt 5.1 on Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy 64bit
on an AMD64 X2 5200+.

If you install it, you get a message, that the machine may
freeze, if you copy a large amount of data to an encrypted
container.
This is true for my machine. :-(
Creating a 2gb containier was fine, but when i copied some
lager files (~100mb), the machine stalled. A ping worked,
access via ssh showed the login, but after entering the
password there was no further reaction.
Same with local login. Username and password entered,
no answer, no prompt. I had to hard reset the box.

Truecrypt says, the reason is a bug in some linux kernels.
Is this true? Will it be fixed in the Gutsy kernels?
(Rumour has it, the Hardy kernel is ok, i didn't check.)

greetings
  Ralf
