I'm having the same problem here on two Ubuntu 7.10 installations also. I'm using an iPod Nano white 2GB, and have tried doing a complete reset on the device. Plugging it in starts up rhythmbox, which then immediately crashes. Uunning rhythmbox from a shell with the iPod mounted gives this error:
** (rhythmbox:8394): CRITICAL **: ipod_parse_artwork_db: assertion `itdb' failed (rhythmbox:8394): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_type_instance_get_private: assertion `instance != NULL && instance->g_class != NULL' failed Segmentation fault (core dumped) gtkpod also fails. Not sure what is causing this, though -- might be a problem in libgpod somehow? -- Per. -- gtkpod and rhythmbox crash when ipod is mounted https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/199326 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
