Daniel - when I closed the bug, I didn't mean that this isn't a problem
- it clearly is. It just isn't a problem that can be solved or is caused
by the ubuntu-docs package, because each time translations are imported,
the problem will come back. So I'm closing the task on that package
again.
This sounds like a problem with Rosetta - it shouldn't permit
translations of es_ES. I'm opening a task on that.
(A workaround for now would be for someone with the relevant permissions
to upload the es translation to the es_ES translation.)

Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs
- When opening the "about ubuntu" option in system menu, the page appears
- in English. However my system is localized into Spanish (Spain): es_ES
+ NEW DESCRIPTION
- I have realized the file:
+ At https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/hardy/+source/ubuntu-
+ docs/+pots/about-ubuntu there are translations for both "es" and
+ "es_ES". The former is well translated, the latter isn't. The result is
+ that Spanish users, who should be reading the "es" version, instead get
+ the "es_ES" version.
- /usr/share/gnome/help/about-ubuntu/es_ES/about-ubuntu.xml
-
- is in English. While the file:
-
- /usr/share/gnome/help/about-ubuntu/es/about-ubuntu.xml
-
- is correctly translated into Spanish.
-
- Therefore, please replace the file /usr/share/gnome/help/about-
- ubuntu/es_ES/about-ubuntu.xml with a copy of /usr/share/gnome/help
- /about-ubuntu/es/about-ubuntu.xml
