Binary package hint: evince
evince-thumbnailer very often just hangs doing nothing (not consuming
CPU resources either). No thumbnails are generated until the process is
killed manually.
Example:
$ ps ax | grep thumb
9474 ? S 0:00 evince-thumbnailer -s 128
file:///home/nikratio/misc/convert/tmp.djvu /tmp/.gnome_thumbnail.RXGW7T
13057 pts/0 R+ 0:00 grep thumb
$ strace -p 9474
