After Emilio said it was working for him, I investigated further. Turns
out, I had a locally compiled version hiding in my path, which the
shortcut was launching. Typing 'wesnoth' in the terminal gave me
1.3.16, but '/usr/games/wesnoth' gave me 1.4, just like it should.
I've marked the bug report invalid. Thanks for helping me clear that
up.
