I have Fujitsu-Siemens AmiloPro V2030 (with UniChrome) and there is no
way to configure it to use 1024x768 resolution using vesa or openchrome.
As far as I remember in Ubuntu 7.04 I had to manual edit settings for X
to get it work, but it was okej, for now it isn't.
Package xserver-xorg-video-unichrome ask for xserver-xorg-core >=
1:1.1.1, please fix it.
There in no way to use Ubuntu in resolution less than 1024x768, most
window are too big to use it, there is no way to put them beside visible
area (You can push it to right or left, but can't push it out desktop to
top or bottom, so in most cases there is no way to accept some changes).
Also using some other aplications is not easy, when You can't see any
web page without scrolling it...
I'm not sure why it is happening, under Microsoft Windows I do not have
any problems with this graphic card, I even can play 3D games in
1024x768.
