Public bug reported:

Network-manager-gnome in hardy has program called nm-editor, which has
strings translated correctly in the sources, but the program does not
load these strings.

After stracing the nm-editor program I noticed it is trying to open this
file:

/usr/share/locale-langpack/fi/LC_MESSAGES/messages.mo

Seems to be a problem with build or source package? It should be using
the nm-applet.mo I think, because this file has the translations used
both by nm-applet and nm-editor.

Of course, nm-editor is fully translated if you copy the nm-applet.mo to
messages.mo...

Similarly, the .desktop entry for nm-editor is not built from
translations correctly. This string is also translated in fi.po, but
might be of course older than source package's .desktop.

** Affects: network-manager-applet (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
