Public bug reported:

I'm running Kubuntu Alpha 6.

I was playing around with Quanta+ and wanted to change MDI mode in the menu for
Window.
I picket the "Top Level" entry.

This caused the X server to crash hard, bringin me back to the login
prompt.

After logging in I tried to start Quanta again.
This crashed X again.

After removing the quantarc and qanta folder in .kde/share/apps I could again
start Quanta.
I then tried to repeat but picking a different option, this time I picked the
"Tab page mode".
Again it crashed.

Please note that after first crash i dissabled all desktop effects to
eliminate it as a cause of the crash.

I tried to look into /var/log/syslog and found this:
====================
Mar 20 17:18:04 lnxdell kdm[5564]: X server terminated: [0, 0, 0]
Mar 20 17:18:04 lnxdell kdm[5564]: X server for display :0 terminated
unexpectedly
Mar 20 17:18:04 lnxdell kdm[5564]: StartServerSucces
====================

and in '/var/log/Xorg.0.log.old' ('Xorg.0.log' contained the log of new
Xsession). I found this:
====================
Backtrace:
0: /usr/bin/X(xf86SigHandler+0x7e) [0x80c780e]
1: [0xb7f6b420]

Fatal server error:
Caught signal 11.  Server aborting
=====================

I don't know where else to look for debug info.
I tried to start quanta from a console by using 'quanta >out.log' but the
'out.log' is empty after the crash.

If you need any other info let me know and I will provide it.

Regards.
Brian Levinsen.
