The reported problem was fixed in the latest release (1.2.5). The
solution is not to use gnome-terminal for SHIFT+ENTER. Please set
options|programs|terminal to:

        xterm -hold -e %s


BTW, SHIFT+ENTER executes command in launched terminal and leaves it
open allowing to see the output. 

If you want to be able type in the terminal just use the function 'Open
terminal here' accessible from the toolbar, RMB (popup) menu or via
user-defined shortcut (assign user action 'command.open_terminal' in
GNOME Commander config file - for details please refer to the manual)
