Binary package hint: file-roller
When extracting from a tar.gz archive, either by drag and drop (from FR windows
to desktop) or right click menu item Extract...
FR (=FileRoller) hangs for about a minute, eating 100% CPU.
After that it continues to work.
Ubuntu 7.10 up tu date,
file-roller 2.20.1-0ubuntu1
Steps to reproduce:
- setup a VM in vmware 1.0.5
- install ubuntu 7.10
- when done , install the vmware tools
- open the tar.gz archive from the virtual CD
- extract it -> hang
