** Description changed: After getting the Kubuntu logo and a progress bar, the graphical login screen doesn't show up. Instead I get the following message: Starting up... Ubuntu edgy (development branch) <computer name> tty1 where <computer name> is the name I gave the computer during installation. Any idea what could be wrong? From what I think myself, the videocard ATI Radeon X300 is simply not recognised. - It is also not in the list of /var/log/Xorg.0.log. For further details, see below.
