Public bug reported:

I'm using a Sony PCG-SRX55H notebook.

I believe since the 'alternate-install CD' missed the module 'ide_cs' so
the install program failed to detect and load my CD-ROM for
installation.

I was able to install Ubuntu Dapper to this notebook only by using
'alternate-install CD'. Everything is fine with my CD-ROM both during
and after the installation. I checked in Dapper that the CD-ROM would
use yenta_socket, ide_cd and ide_cs kernel modules.

I then dropped to console mode under 'alternate-install CD'. I found
that yenta_socket and ide_cd are loaded but ide_cs is not found. Please
follow up. Thanks a lot!!!
