This happened to me after upgrading to Hardy Beta. I changed the domain
using the Network Manager GUI and the entry "127.0.0.1
HOSTNAME.DOMAIN_NAME was added to /etc/hosts. When I deleted the
.DOMAIN_NAME portion of the entry using the Network Manager GUI, the
problem was resolved. Hope this helps.
