Greetings Leane, Good suggestion. I was wrong when said it stopped booting at some point. that was from kernel 2.4.24-23. I wont bother u on that as it not reallt related to Hardy.
It stops at this point mentionning volume with specified UUID is not present. Please see the attached photos. I am unable to run any commands on busy box as the keyboard doesnt work. Wild guess is initrd doesnt contain the preloaded drivers for usb and sata/ide as I have seen such an errror long time back when I built a custom kernel to allow booting from USB drives. My SATA drives are running in IDE mode . The volume UUID is correct and works fine with other kernels. Attaching a copy of menu.lst.
