Public bug reported:
I'm using Hard Heron (development branch) amd64 release on a desktop
computer. It's the daily build of March, the 20th, with all available
updates.
Steps:
1) In gnome, activate num lock, switching on the corresponding LED on the
keyboard
2) Restart the computer, using System->Quit... or the icon next to the
date-time applet and watch the num lock LED
Result:
The LED will be switched off as soon as "Restart" or most likely any another
option, has been selected. Upon restarting and arriving back to the login
screen of Hardy, the num lock LED will remain off, login into gnome, the LED
will remain off and the feature will also be turned off, meaning no numbers can
be typed. One has to manually activate num lock again to do that, over and
over, from one session to the next.
Expected:
Hardy should be able to "remember" the num lock setting just like Gutsy did, it
seems to be reverted to off as soon as one leaves the gnome desktop.
