Bryce, I have to say I'm confused about what you said earlier about starting a "clean" new bugreport. I did that (bug #195051) and it seems like you didn't even had a look at it.
Then after nobody answered to it, I started the one over at fd.o and this one gets added here. If we are to continue here, "my" report is obviously just a duplicate of this one. I think it would be more wise to close this one because it has been overcrowded with problems that have nothing to do with the actual issue. If you disagree, that's fine by me but right now having two reports on the same issue is just disadvantageous.
