Binary package hint: xsane
This is version 0.995 of xsane.
Yesterday I installed Kubuntu Hardy Beta i386 for a friend. When I try
running xsane, the preview is not operating properly. I can get a
preview, but when attempting to trim the scan size by dragging the
border lines, this does not work, and tends to give the appearance of
chopping off half of the preview. If I just set the preview to A4 and
tell it to scan without making adjustments, it does then get a scan.
This machine has a very simple, rather old HP ScanJet 3300C connected.
I've not yet tried Hardy with my computer, which has a Perfection 2450
Photo scanner attached.
