Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: b43-fwcutter

Wireless was working fine with 7.10. After upgrading 8.04 , I enabled
the Broadcom B43 Wireless Driver(1:011-1). It downloaded b43-fwcutter
but would not let enable the driver after rebooting. I then manually
uninstalled the fwcutter driver and reinstalled it. After rebooting,
the WiFi light on the notebook came on and I was able to see wireless
networks in the network manager, but I couldn't join any of them.

Here's is the hardware info for the wireless card via LSPCI:

05:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM94311MCG wlan mini-
PCI (rev 01)

Thanks!!
