Reporting with Hardy Beta. You're right, gerard. POST_VIDEO=false
doesn't work in either Hardy Alpha 6 or Hardy Beta. Earlier I reported
incorrectly that POST_VIDEO=false works in Hardy Alpha 6, but that's
just in Feisty.

Thanks for the logs gerard. Since you've seconded and documented this
error, I'm changing the status back to confirmed.

I'll attach my own logs as soon as I have a chance.

** Description changed:

I have been using Ubuntu since Hoary Hedgehog on a Dell Preicision M70
laptop (NVidia Quadro FX Go1400). Suspend-to-ram began working fine
starting with the Edgy Eft. It worked fine on Feisty as well. Starting
with gutsy, suspend-to-ram fails to work on the default installation.

  Tested with: hardy alpha 6

Symptoms: laptop suspends but does not resume. I have tried all the
  following combinations:

  - No restricted drivers
  - Restricted driver + compiz
  - Restricted driver + metacity

In all cases, nothing comes on the screen after attempting to suspend---
  just a hard lockup.

- In the latter two cases, the problem can be fixed simply by setting
- POST_VIDEO=false in /etc/default/acpi-support.
+ In Feisty, the problem could be fixed simply by setting POST_VIDEO=false
+ in /etc/default/acpi-support.

- The main purpose for this bug report is to alert whoever is responsible
- for ACPI that this minor change in acpi-support will fix this very
- frustrating regression, as long as restricted drivers are installed.
+ In Hardy, POST_VIDEO=false does not solve the problem.
