If you are familiar with compiling your own kernel (see
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeam/GitKernelBuild), you could build a
vanilla kernel for you, that works for me. Or if you have the
possibility, to fetch the old ubuntu kernel 2.6.24-10, that should work
fine, as well.
