Thanks for reporting this issue and helping to make ubuntu better.
This is not really a problem. in linux it is irrelevant how many slashes
are following each other in a path. Often this occurs when a path is
concatenated and both parts have a / and the connection of the to
strings. This is done because it does not hurt, but prevents or wrong
path if it is forgotten on the other side.
Since this is not an issue at all, I am closing this report. Many thanks
again for reporting this. Please do no hesitate any other issues you
find in the future.
