Public bug reported:

Alan Hourihane (maintainer of the i810 Xorg driver) that the vbetool is to 
blame for causing my Xorg rendering to be corrupted after a suspend/resume 
cycle.  I commented out the vbetool commands from the suspend.d scripts and it 
fixed the rendering corruption:
