Thanks for the link Wim. The other thread didn't help me fix my problem, however your suggestion did lead me to a possible culprit.
The file /etc/modprobe.d/ipw3945 is linking to the file /sbin/ipw3945d-$(uname -r) (which in this case would be /sbin/ipw3945d-2.6.24-12-generic). However, the only file in /sbin that has to do with this module is /sbin/ipw3945d-2.6.22-14-generic (related to the kernel for Gutsy). So my questions NOW are: a. Why didn't Hardy's kernel update also update the module for my wireless card, and b. How do I fix it so it will work with the current kernel? -- Wireless LED doesn't work in Hardy Beta https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/205766 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
