Moving to confirmed.
For others, one fix is to add a line that reads
SYSFS{idVendor}=="04a9", SYSFS{idProduct}=="30fe", MODE="0660", GROUP="plugdev"
to /etc/udev/rules.d/45-libgphoto2.rules (and restart udev) -- I am not sure
whether that is the correct fix or not.
