Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xorg
This is similar to a previously reported problem concerning switching
languages.
I upgraded from Gutsy. After the upgrade, the US keybord
was configured.
I use only one keyboard. It has an Italian layout.
When I set the layout with system>preferences>keyboard,
the layout is correct.
However after a reboot, the layout is no longer active.
When I open the keyboard preferences the Italian setting
is still displayed, it just doesn-t work. I have to delete it
and add it again before the keyboard settings are active.
