Public bug reported:
Package: xorg-driver-fglrx
Version: 7.1.0-8.28.8+2.6.17.9-12.4
I've been trying to configure an ATI Radeon X1300 graphics video card in Ubuntu
6.10.
Neither the graphics quality nor the resolution are optimal, and I can't change
them. I've tested it with Windows XP and it (the graphics card) works correctly
there.
When I searched for the packages
fglrx-control - Control panel for the ATI graphics accelerators
xorg-driver-fglrx - Video driver for ATI graphics accelerators
both installed correctly. Yet when I try to change the screen resolution
with the command
# aticonfig
--resolution=0,1440x900,1280x1024,1152x864,1024x768,800x600,640x480
a segfault (core dumped) error terminates the program
** Affects: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.17 (Ubuntu)
