Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-pilot

Release 8.04 beta (problem existed in all previous versions as well).

Computer and Palm V lose sync. Synching is over serial cable. Palm V
reports "connection lost". gnome-pilot progress "stalls" (freezes)
during whatever operation fails (most often, saving preferences/backups;
sometimes while synching calendar or address items).

Unable to restart gnome-pilot - have to logout/login or restart GDM.
