Copying the rules file back in with a better name seems to be the best
workaround, until this gets fixed properly:

sudo cp /etc/udev/libsane-extras.rules /etc/udev/rules.d/25-libsane-
extras.rules

According to the README, symlinks are prohibited in Ubuntu, but Debian
allows them.
