My Ubuntu is in the same WorkGroup like the other PC i use (called EZNord) smbclient and smbtree both showed a error " NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED".
I could not determine if this error is due to password poblem of samba or not. But because i activated guest accounts on my windows computers ubuntu should be able to browse the shares even without a password.
