Public bug reported:

I installed Hardy Heron onto my home PC last night, choosing to install
it onto my second HDD (200GB). The (windows) installer completed OK and
after rebooting the HH post installer ran and completed OK, however on
reboot and selecting Ubuntu in the boot menu I get a partition not found
error for all of the (grub?) menu options including XP Home!

My PC boots from a SATA HDD on channel 2, my 2nd HDD is a 200GB Maxtor
L600 ATA drive set as master on channel 1.

Ubuntu version is Hardy Heron alpha 5.

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
