Public bug reported:

Hi!

release: Hardy
package: kernel-image-2.6.24.x-generic

expected: to boot up
result: boot hangs

Details:
I have upgraded from Gutsy to Hardy today(26.03) today. The problem is that
with the newest generic kernel image my system does not boot. If I start the
one for i386 it starts
without any problem, and this is true for older generic kernel images. I cannot
see any error messages in recovery mode, just a message: Starting boot
device.... And that's all.
I use GRUB for loading linux
My system:
primary master - SATA (contains windows and grub)
/sda1
/sda5
/sda6
secondary master - UDMA (ubuntu)

Regards, Zoltan
