When I switched my wireless interface (wlan0) from roaming to static
using network-admin, after reboot the network interface was down.
/etc/network/interfaces showed that wlan0 was not auto; however, the
appropriate information about the static network was there about wlan0.
It seems like this device should be set to auto.
