I posted output from the ping command, a screenshot showing the nmapplet issue, and ff starting in offline mode. If I haven't proved the bug yet, then I guess I will just give up trying. I asked you to post a link to the technical discussion here, but you have failed to do that. So, why don't you follow up and show some constructive data for this bug...
