I don't know, you tell me :-). You reported the bug, and I still try
to understand it. It *should* do the following:

  * call jockey-gtk -C as normal user
  * jockey checks your system, and if you need to install a video
    driver, call itself through kdesu (where you need to enter your
    password) to start the GUI as root, where it can install the fglrx
    driver.

That's the other bug I'm trying to understand (I could not replicate
it with jockey-kde under GNOME). I suppose due to the "unicode
conversion blabla" crash mentioned somewhere the UI becomes dead. I
guess I need to download a Kubuntu CD and try it there...
