I have an HP dv9700t laptop with an Nvidia 8600M GS graphics card. I
just tried to install Ubuntu 8.04 beta. Once selecting the option to
install, the screen goes black. There is absolutely no video. After
about A minute or two, the disc is still spinning but no video. I also
selected the option to try Ubuntu without installing, but the same thing
happened. I haven't tried the alternate iso yet. I was trying to
install the 64 bit version.
