In the strace there was a mention of some files with the name of Sigur
Rós in them. The file system is UTF-8, but for some reason these files
names have ISO8859-1 or Windows 1252 encoding. This usually makes ls and
other command line tools just show "?" for the non-latin characters. I
tried moving this directory out of the path, and Rhythmbox no longer
segfaults!

So the main point is that Rhythmbox obviously chokes on bad input (not
correctly encoded file names). Remember: All input is evil :-)
