Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: kubuntu-kde4-desktop
After installing kubuntu-kde4-desktop in Ubuntu Hardy (32 or 64-bit) to
have an optional KDE4 desktop the menu is completely corrupted. Most
icons show up as question marks. (See attached picture).
Steps to reproduce:
1.) Install Ubuntu Hardy. (Not Kubuntu, plain ol' Ubuntu).
2.) After the installation to hard disk is complete, reboot.
3.) After booting into your new Ubuntu install, install the package
"kubuntu-kde4-desktop".
4.) When asked if you want KDM or GDM, I chose GDM.
5.) I rebooted, but you may not need to.
6.) Choose KDE4 for your session, and log in.
7.) Click on the Kmenu, and click on Applications
8.) The icons will be corrupted.
Notes: I tried reinstalling and that didn't help. I have both a 32-bit
and 64-bit install of Hardy and I have this problem on both. There are
other menu glitches as well, but I reported that in another bug report.
** Affects: kubuntu-kde4-meta (Ubuntu)
