There is no output in /var/log/acpid and acpi_listen is silent. It happens just when I start a virtual machine.
The guest system in my case is Ubuntu 7.10 32-bit (Does VirtualBox support 64-bit guests?) Just tried to run newly created virtual machine without any OS installed (OS Type = other/unknown).
