if you send sigkill to trackerd, the 0.6.3 version is susceptible to
corruption in its db. This can lead to serious problems such as what you
are experiencing
since 0.6.5 we have used fsync to commit data in large transactions to
prevent corruption from occurring in the first place so am marking this
as fixed
if problems occur with more recent versions (as in hardy) then pls
reopen this bug
